Phase Retrieval for Sparse Signals

چکیده
The aim of this paper is to build up the theoretical framework for the recovery of sparse signals from the magnitude of the measurement. We first investigate the minimal number of measurements for the success of the recovery of sparse signals without the phase information. We completely settle the minimality question for the real case and give a lower bound for the complex case. We then study the recovery performance of the l1 minimization for the sparse phase retrieval problem. In particular, we present the null space property which, to our knowledge, is the first sufficient and necessary condition for the success of l1 minimization for k-sparse phase retrievable.

An alternating optimization approach for phase retrieval
In this paper, we address the problem of phase retrieval to recover a signal from the magnitude of its Fourier transform. In many applications of phase retrieval, the signals encountered are naturally sparse. In this work, we consider the case where the signal is sparse under the assumption that few components are nonzero. We exploit further the sparse nature of the signals and propose a two st...
متن کامل[hal-00811848, v1] Blind Calibration for Phase Shifts in Compressive Systems
We consider a blind calibration problem in a compressed sensing measurement system in which each sensor introduces an unknown phase shift to be determined. We show that this problem can be approached similarly to the problem of phase retrieval from quadratic measurements. Furthermore, when dealing with measurements generated from multiple unknown (but sparse) signals, we extend the approach for...
متن کاملCompressive phase retrieval of sparse bandlimited signals
This contribution proposes a two stage strategy to allow for phase retrieval in state of the art sub-Nyquist sampling schemes for sparse multiband signals. The proposed strategy is based on data acquisition via modulated wideband converters known from sub-Nyquist sampling. This paper describes how the modulators have to be modified such that signal recovery from sub-Nyquist amplitude samples be...
متن کاملFast Phase Retrieval for High-Dimensions
We develop a fast phase retrieval method which can utilize a large class of local phaseless correlation-based measurements in order to recover a given signal x ∈ C (up to an unknown global phase) in near-linear O ( d log d ) -time. Accompanying theoretical analysis proves that the proposed algorithm is guaranteed to deterministically recover all signals x satisfying a natural flatness (i.e., no...
متن کاملPhase Retrieval for Sparse Signals: Uniqueness Conditions
In a variety of fields, in particular those involving imaging and optics, we often measure signals whose phase is missing or has been irremediably distorted. Phase retrieval attempts the recovery of the phase information of a signal from the magnitude of its Fourier transform to enable the reconstruction of the original signal. A fundamental question then is: “Under which conditions can we uniq...
